De Rosa are a band from Lanarkshire, Scotland. They are songwriter Martin John Henry (vocals, guitar), James Woodside (bass) and Neil Woodside (drums). The single was championed by John Peel and De Rosa spent the next two years recording their debut LP with Mogwai producer Andy Miller. They have released three acclaimed studio albums –Mend (2006), Prevention (2009), and Weem (2016) – on Glasgow’s legendary labels – Chemikal Underground and Rock Action Records. De Rosa have collaborated with Under the Skin author Michel Faber on the album, Ballads of the Book (Chemikal Underground, 2007). In 2018 they were invited by Robert Smith to play his Meltdown festival at the Southbank Centre in London. De Rosa are currently recording the followup to Weemwith producer Andy Miller (Mogwai, Arab Strap, Scout Niblett).
