Daisy* is the new alias from electronic artist Daisy Warne, formerly known as BABii. A change ushered in by two disparate major life events that deeply changed her as a person. The loss of her father and the birth of her son.

Adapting her process around being a mother, Daisy* is created in fragmented states, not flow states. It’s fresh and aerodynamic. It’s pure & pretty energy. It’s looping beats round and round whilst her son plays, scheming release ideas while he sleeps, building a play pen in the studio.

As Daisy* transitions into this new chapter, she has found herself inspired by things that are both authentic and performed, and explore the strangeness of mundane life, such as How To with John Wilson, Nathan Fielder’s The Rehearsal, that movie about Joaquin Phoenix becoming a rapper, Synecdoche, New York, The Blindboy Podcast and her everyday life.
